Loved trying the Rose Hips Pink Clay Facial soap. It’s been years since I’ve used a facial soap and they where always a favorite in many old hollywood starlets routines (including Marilyn Monroe). I loved the gentle lather and my face felt gently tightened.
The pink lemonade body whip and lip scrub are a fabulous way to comfortably exfoliate away dead skin and leave softer skin behind.
If you love natural rose scents the hand cream would be amazing for you! Its so hard to find rose scented products that smell like roses and not ‘fake’ roses. This really matches the real deal, all in a soft moisturizing cream
I’ve been wanting a rose based spray or toner and the Lily Skincare nourishing facial toner hits the spot! My skin feels super fresh after using and rose water has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce the redness, get rid of acne and reduce clogged pores.
I’ve never had the opportunity to try Crazy Rumors and it was so great to test out their Hibiskiss tinted lip balm. The color is a bit warm for me but the texture is very creamy.

I was impressed with how well packaged the box I received was. Everything was well wrapped in bubble wrap. I was happy with the variety of products I received. From what I can tell, the box contained 3 full size and two deluxe sample size products. Products Included:
Seraphine Botanicals 91% natural lip and cheek cream, Cherry Butter. I have the guava version of this lip and cheek cream and it’s not a product that I am obsessed with. It’s a bit dry for me as a lip product and I very rarely use blush, however I do enjoy it as an eyeshadow. The texture is a bit to matte for the style of product for my uses. Overall it’s not a product I would purchase if it was not in the box.
Peony Cosmetics natural deodorant. It is designed as a deodorant (that you can also use almost like a perfume) that is full of essential oils and aromas such as Aloe Vera juice, Lavender and Orange peel oils that not only mask body odors but they work in unison to keep sweating and bacteria formation at bay. The packaging is so cute and the spray nozzle mists very well. I wish there had been a bigger bottle of it because I really liked it. The scent is fresh yet subtle and I found it kept me smelling nice all day. I Think it’s a great size to throw in your purse.
Pickle’s Potion. Vegan Lash & Brow Serum. This serum designed to stimulate hair growth, increase volume and provide vital nutrients to the lash follicles. I was actually looking for a new lash serum when this package arrived so I cannot wait to test this out more. I have only been using it for a few days so I will update you all on IG stories on the results. Thus far it is comfortable to use and I’m looking forward to seeing how my lashes respond.
Z Skin Cosmetics Coffee Face Scrub. For those of you who have been with me for awhile you will know I had the pleasure to work with Z Skin on a video and I love their products! This coffee scrub makes you skin feel and look amazing, and is a perfect wake up boost for your morning routine.
Nourish Nails Water-based Nail Polishes “Abundance” . It is described as a color that includes flickering particles that glimmer in the daylight.
This water based nail polish is virtually ODOR FREE!! I just did my toenails with this gorgeous color and loved not having to battle the scent that even most 5 or 7 free nail polishes have. I wish the brush was a bit higher quality bit other than that I love the color and the finish. Two coats and I was god to go.

This foaming cleanser is enriched with Organic Coconut Oil soap which is supposed to clean deep within the pores eliminating bacteria and build up while being non irritating formula free of chemicals. This cleanser designed to prove results within 7 days and is formulated to help prevent and minimize signs of aging and keep acne and blemishes away.
My Thoughts
When testing out products I never read about the claims of the product or other reviews. I like to go in totally unbiased. However when I saw the bottle the little line “results within 7 days” could not help but catch my eye. At this point I am used to skincare products promising to raise your grades, cure world hunger and make you look younger so I did not think much of this statement. I was shocked when I found it to me true.
I began testing out the Foaming Cleanser from Shya Monet and after 2/3 days of using it I noticed my skin began to shed its top layer. While this sounds a little snake like (and believe me I find a little scally, and got a makeup brush full of dead skin once or twice) this is actually a plus for me. I so regularly exfoliate and clean my skin I almost never get that level of skin turn over. After the first few days the shedding stopped and I was extremely happy and surprised to find smoother, softer, younger looking skin underneath. This cleanser has made my skin look AMAZING!!! It has minimized fine lines and kept my breakouts away (even during that time of the month). For me often anti aging products messy with my acne and the acne products overly dry the wrinkles out, this is one of the few products I have ever tried that is PERFECT for both.
I can not tell you how much I LOVE this cleanser. I will definitely go down as one of my favorite products

I got to test out this Rose Hips Replenish Face Cre'me from SheaTerra. This face Creme is formulated with plant based ingredients ‘Damask Moroccan’ rose water, BCO certified organic rose hips oil, vegetable emulsifying wax, shea nilotica, seabuckthorn oil, glucono delta-lactone, and sodium benzoate.
This face creme has a very old school feel to it. At first I was not a bit concerned it would be a very heavy to wear, but I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it is. The cream almost seems to melt into you skin after applying it.
The formula is designed for aging/dry skin. I found it to be great for dry skin, and perhaps for dryness related wrinkles ( wrinkles caused by the skin being thin/dry and thus creasing). I personally have dynamic wrinkles (wrinkles caused by muscles of the face/neck etc), so I did not find it to be as anti aging. I did however enjoy the results from the creme. The creme has a very gentle, yet nourishing feel. I found it to be think enough to use on its own but not too oily to wear during the day. It has a medium level rose scent that I did not find overpowering. I felt my skin looked natural and moisturized while using this creme.
Personally I prefer a more whipped texture to my face products, but if you yearn for a simpler time of glass jars and less processed products I would definitely check out https://www.goodearthbeauty.com/moisturizer-rose-hips-rose-regeneration-face-creme

I’m a huge lip product junkie, and I’m always looking for a good lip recovery product. Keeping the top layers of skin properly nourished so that the fragile layers of skin remain fluid is essential to lip health. I would recommend this lip product more as a salve or almost as a ‘first aid’ style product. Its a lip product that has a more healing quality than most. Its great to keep in your kit to protect against dry chapped lips.

I LOVE the Osea Mists and Boosts! They are some of my ride or die products! My first thought upon testing out this routine was ‘only 5 products’?? As a huge skincare junkie I was a but uncertain about “only” using 4 products on a daily basis (the 5th is the mask). I know for some of you 5 products may seem like a lot, but I had my doubts.
I began my new routine with a little trepidation but very high hopes. My initial impressions where that the products where very high quality. After using them for 21 days I can say that is most defiantly the case. They are CRUELTY FREE and nicely high performance.
The cleaner has a very interesting formula (being that it is a mix of an oil and foaming cleanser). The particles of gold in it make it look to pretty to wash away
I felt like it removed makeup well, as well as keeping up with the daily post workout grime!
The serum and cream are both lovely with a slight yellow tint. I appreciate how creamy and lux they feel on the skin. (AFTER and BEFORE below)
My FAVORITE product was defiantly the eye cream! It feels AMAZING and does not irritate my sensitive under eye area. I felt like it moisturized and left the delicate skin under the eyes feeling supple and full.

Whats the low down on this 5 step routine? Here are the Pros and Cons I noticed wile using the products.
PROs
- Pre set routine (no need to spend hours trying to decide what products to use/buy)
- Nigh quality formulations
- Noticeable skin tone improvement. While using these products I definitely felt like I used much less foundation. I felt like my skin looked much more even, and I hardly used foundation at all
- Sits nicely under makeup
- The MASKS ARE AMAZING. I can not tell you how FAB the sheet masks are: The feel amazing, Sit on the face comfortably, Are easy to unfold, Don’t slip or drip, and MAKE YOU FACE FEEL BRAND NEW!
CONs
- Packaging. While the bottles and tubs are gorgeous, I really wish they where recyclable. I hate to see them have to be thrown away.
- Extra Oil. Personally while using the products I felt like a bit oily. Even when using the smallest amount I often felt as though my face was ‘humid’ ie a moisture feeling on the face. I think if you have very dry skin this would not happen, I’m a bit on the combination side.
- No variety. This is the other side of the coin for a preset routine. For best results you must stick with the routine and if you are like me and love to switch it up a full 5 step routine can seem a bit boring.
NOTES Acne, Pores and Scents. The scents of the line are very mild except for the face masks with do have a more perfumed order.
This line is not intended for people with acne, I totally know that and I have some mild acne at times. Personally I did not feel like it made my acne worse, or better which is actually great for a line that is not acne focused. I did feel like while using the products my pores could at times feel a bit clogged, but when I used the Saranghae Pore Refining Charcoal Mask that issue was totally gone! I LOVE that mask btw.

Overall I was totally impressed with the line and love how it made my skin look and feel. If you are looking for a pre set luxuriant and functional system this is a great routine to use. I love to try new products to much to settle down and grow old with one routine, but what can I say? I love them all!

It seems we live in a time when doing sometime as a ‘Feminist Act’ happens as an afterthought. A big recoding label portrayed a female singer in an overly sexualized way, and gets in hot water? Oh Ye of little faith, that music video was actually a “Feminist Act” and therefore no one can ever critique, and all asses will be saved.
I personally never thought I would do anything as noteworthy as a feminist act, but then I began to think otherwise.
I’ve never been the type of person to feel that my hair is my secretly blanket (for be me it’s my bra, but that’s a story for a different time). I grew up with a no fuss mom who but me in swishy pants (90’s kid that was) and a pixie cut.
As I grew older I had bobs, lobs and a variety if mid length hair cuts, however once I reached those fateful middle school years I never had short hair again.
I tried my best to have the long luscious locks that I thought all men desperately wanted to see on a girl. Not to surprisingly (as I have have no genetic background that would allow me to grow superhuman hair) I was left with a medium long brown bore. I tried to curl and tease my way into hearts to little success yet I never realized having ‘long’ hair was never for me, it was done because I thought thats what society wanted in me a female.
With this as my back drop I came to my early twenties, a time far less exciting that any movie portraits it. Keeping with the excitement that your 20’s really holds I found myself scrolling thought Instagram looking at pictures of women with short haircuts. Those late night scrolling turned into full on google image searching and eventually I was at the place where I wanted to get my hair cut shorts, like really short. Then the fear kicked in.
You all may think its crazy, but why I kept up my fruitless attempts at growing long hair was I was afraid of what would happen it I did not have it. I was not afraid of how clean my shower drain would be, or how quickly my hair would dry, no it was always a little thought in the back of my mind: ‘what will people think’ (a line that I am connived is written somewhere on some ancient vase or cave wall as it seems to be an integral part of what it means to be female).
Will people think I’m lesbian (and see that as a bad thing, because if any girls ever hit on me I’d be wildly flattered)? Will people think there is something wrong with me (ie I have cancer or a fatal illness)? Will people think I’m weird? Will me having short hair impact how people see me when I am looking for a job? and the crucks of it all, will people judge me?
I can answer the last one, yes. People will judge me, but so do they now. What do I want, to save money on shampoo or to make a vague “other” happy?
It seems like a simple choice, on a trivia issue, but it it? Chances are (unfortunately) many of my fears are found, people will judge me, as they judge all other humans especial those of the female sort.
Did this means I was going to commit a fabled ‘feminist act’? Was my cutting half of my hair short actual note worthy? Probably not, but it is a place to start thinking: what am I choosing in my life? What? What do I want? Who knows, probably not this half shorted haired 20 something.
